Silk is such an iconic fabric from India. Growing up, pure silk was part of every celebration, whether it was a religious ceremony, or a trendy social event. The weddings and the beautiful silk sarees (part of the bridal trousseau) were mesmerizing.

I moved to the United States many years ago and during COVID started on a beautiful journey of quilting. I have made wonderful friends along the way and started HARGEES to bring silk fabric for my quilting friends. The quality of life of many of these artisans that weave this beautiful fabric lacks in basic needs.

HARGEES was created in loving memory of my parents, who always inspired us to think beyond our own needs.
